Florida is a nice place to live. It’s tropical climate attracts visitors from around the world and many of them decide they want to stay. It’s not so different for non-human animals. Over the last century, Florida has become a haven for exotic animals. Some of these creatures are harmless and beautiful, while others can be dangerous to humans or damaging to the environment. These foreigners are being released by pet owners or are hopping aboard cargo or tourist ships headed to Florida’s ports. Once they arrive and get settled, they are very hard to get rid of.
